October, 2008:
Doing laundry (or why I ‘need’ a GPS receiver and BT headset)
Got considerably lost today driving around in East Oakland looking for this laundromat.
Realized that I still need a bunch of time to get my bearings out here, especially driving.
The whole trip made me think about how nice it would be to have a Nokia N810.
So I’m saving my nickels and dimes to get one, before I end up in Nevada accidently.
Zach Galifianakis’ new movie playing in Austin and LA (I missed SF tonight)
FROM the Zach Galifianakis newsletter
Dear Austin, San Francisco and Los Angeles,
I have received a number of emails regarding the film “Visioneers”- a film where Zach is the lead. It is still playing the film festivals. I wanted to let folks know that there is a screening of the film in the above mentioned cities. I apologize for the late notice. Here are the links:

House hunting in the East Bay
So I have the distance part of my move done, but now comes another hard part: finding a place to live.
Trying to find a 3+ bedroom ideally with 2+ bathrooms in Oakland nearish to downtown.
My lack of geographic knowledge is posing a limitation as least for knowing inititally where a place is.
All the flatmates are bicyle-folk, so that poses another stipulation.
But all together everything is pretty darn grand other than the fact I am fighting a cold 😉
