Holiday season digital upswing in full effect.
At local Target store there is a (closed off) section for the PS3,
an accesory section for the Wii,
and BluRay and HD-DVD discs ($20-$30) including a few HD-DVD/DVD hybrid discs.
PS3 comes out Nov 07, but there are some videos out of test units.
The UI is almost identical to that of the PSP
Having never owned an Xbox and currently owning a PS2 and PSP I stil
feel partial to the Xbox 360 mainly due to cost.
I am not going to buy either any time soon, so time will tell what I end up buying.
So you bought some MSN music tracks from MS?
Well MS says, “Fuck you, buy a Zune”….
The gist is that MSN is no more and there is no way to remove the DRM
(**cough**cough**legally**cough).
So if you want the ‘snazzy’ new Zune, you will need to repurchase all your existing music.
This sort of situation is the MAIN reason DRM is not good for consumers.
What if CDs, tapes, or records were like this?
What does this mean for the future of digital media as it applies to history and cultural legacies?
Great idea for simplification of analog audio to PC connections

Matt’s pain in the ass issues with MCE OEM on a Gateway PC.
Try to backup install.. failed about 6 times.
Finally got a copy of MCE and reinstalled.
Months later product key shows as invalid.
Tried using product key from my PC, no luck.
Called MS, no luck.
Gave up, installed XP Pro.
With the reinstall, matt finally installed IE7 on XP.
Looks pretty good.
Tabs make sense.
Quick tabs is pretty nice.
And along the lines of playing media files in XP, matt swears by the K-Lite Codec Pack.
It includes a GIGANTIC package of selectable codecs for most any file out there.
It also has software players and even plays FLV files fullscreen without the need to convert to AVI, QT, or another format.
Highly recommended
MacBook Pros are not 39% (like apple states), but 10%
